Be the brand AI recommends.

Your buyers don't scroll ten blue links anymore, they ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Perplexity and act on the answer. GeoClose makes your brand the one those assistants recommend, on your website and across the web they pull from.

What we do

Two crafts,
one outcome.

A site that reads well to people and gets named when an AI answers your buyer's question. We build design and machine-readability together, not in sequence.

01, GEO

Generative Engine Optimization

Make your brand the source AI assistants quote, on your site and across the web.

  • Entity consistency across canonical, og:url & schema
  • Crawlability audit for AI bots (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot)
  • Citation-scored content rewrites (sources, statistics, quotes)
  • Topical authority, hub-and-spoke content clusters
  • Off-site authority: directory listings, Wikidata & brand mentions
  • AI visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity
02, Design

Web Design & Development

Fast, server-rendered sites built GEO-ready from the first commit.

  • Editorial, conversion-focused design
  • Server-rendered facts, AI crawlers don't run JavaScript
  • Core Web Vitals, sub-second responses
  • Next.js, React & headless CMS
03, Strategy

Audit & Strategy

Know exactly where you stand and what to fix first.

  • Full GEO & technical audit, severity-ranked
  • Competitor AI-visibility benchmark
  • Query coverage & content-gap analysis
  • Baseline & monthly measurement

The shift

SEO gets you ranked.
GEO gets you recommended.

If the AI's answer doesn't name you, the ranking beneath it barely matters, and roughly 60% of Google searches already end without a click (SparkToro/Similarweb, 2024).

Traditional SEO

  • Optimizes for a ranked blue link
  • Rewards keywords & backlinks
  • You compete for a click
  • Invisible inside the AI answer

GEO by GeoClose

  • Optimizes to be quoted in the AI answer
  • Rewards fact-dense, verifiable content
  • You become the recommendation
  • Structured so AI cites you with confidence

The other half

Half your citations
aren't on your site.

Muck Rack found roughly 82% of AI citations come from earned media, and brand mentions track AI visibility about 3× more strongly than backlinks (Ahrefs, ~75,000 brands). The source differs by engine, so we work both sides.

ChatGPT & Copilot, on-site

  • Read Bing; cite your own page when it ranks
  • Won with server-rendered, fact-dense content & schema

Google AI Overviews & Perplexity, off-site

  • Directory-gated: they cite third-party listings, not your homepage
  • Reddit alone is ~40% of AI references, 46.7% on Perplexity (Profound)
  • Won with listings, Wikidata, earned media & reviews

Why now

The traffic is moving.

Questions

GEO, in plain terms.

The questions every founder asks us first.

What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)? +

GEO is the practice of engineering a brand's web presence so AI assistants, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, quote and recommend it inside their answers. The term comes from the study 'GEO: Generative Engine Optimization' (Aggarwal et al., KDD 2024), which measured citation-visibility gains of 22–40% from specific content changes: adding cited sources lifted visibility about 40%, statistics about 37%, and direct quotations about 22%. Unlike SEO, which competes for a ranked link, GEO competes for the sentence the model generates.

How is GEO different from SEO? +

SEO optimizes for a position in a list of blue links; GEO optimizes for being the passage an AI retriever lifts into its answer. The retrieval surface also differs by engine: ChatGPT's browsing and Copilot read Bing (Microsoft Corporation's index), Gemini and Google AI Overviews read Google, Claude's web search reads Brave, and Perplexity runs its own index of roughly 200 billion URLs after dropping the Bing API in August 2025. Ranking on Google and Bing alone reaches about 70–75% of AI retrieval; the rest needs clean crawlability for Brave and Perplexity.

Do I need a new website, or can you optimize my current one? +

Both paths work. If the site is technically sound, we layer GEO onto it: entity consistency across canonical, og:url and schema; fact-dense answer blocks; FAQPage and Organization structured data; and server-rendered content, because AI crawlers do not execute JavaScript (Vercel's analysis of 500 million-plus crawler fetches). If the site is slow or renders its facts only in JavaScript, we rebuild it citation-ready. The free audit tells you which path returns faster.

How long until AI assistants start recommending me? +

Search engines pick up technical and structured-data fixes within days to weeks. AI assistants re-crawl on their own cadence, so measurable change in how ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini describe a brand typically lands 2–8 weeks after deployment. Perplexity weights freshness heavily and begins to discount pages older than 90 days, so recency of publication matters as much as the fix itself.

Isn't GEO just about my own website? +

No, most AI citations are earned off your site. Muck Rack's analysis of over a million links found roughly 82% of AI citations come from earned media, and the source differs by engine: ChatGPT (via Bing) tends to cite your own page, while Google AI Overviews and Perplexity are largely directory-gated, they cite third-party listings, Reddit (about 40% of AI references, 46.7% on Perplexity), Wikidata, and reviews. We work both the on-site content and the off-site footprint each engine reads.
